They all open into the drivers side, they were designed for LHD cars.

They don't get in the way though , I just bought one for my CLS.

They might if you are a particularly wide load.

Several vids of these working on youtube for those that don't know them, whether it's practical in a right hand drive car mostly comes down to how big your **** is and whether you want a drink that close to you.
