W211 - DAB possible?

Is it feasible to upgrade the existing ICE unit in my W211 to include DAB?

If it's a case of 'no' and an after market unit has to be installed to replace the whole factory ICE unit, are there any recommendations?

in my last e55, i put in an Alpine EZDAB unit, placed the controller in the ashtray, sound connected via the aux port, worked like a charm, better than the factory DAB in the w212 e63 i had afterwards!

As above, I did the same as Alps on my CLS 55 but installed the Pure Highway 400 into my Aux, this also supported Bluetooth streaming. Perfect.

As above but with a Highway Pure 600 into the aux socket - if you go this route and have a dashcam make sure the wiring doesn't go up the same A-pillar as the dashcam will kill the DAB signal. Use the other pillar to get the wiring to the DAB aerial. Will save you finding out the hard way like I did.

I think the Alpine unit is a re-branded PURE unit anyway
