W211 DVD,CD not working

Hi all new here so hope its at the correct place to post this.I bought a 2005 e220 a couple of months ago and found that the DVD and CD dont work,when inserting a disc it says dvd or cd error.
No my question is can i fix the unit or do i have to buy a new one the sat nave and stereo works fine.

Try a lense cleaner in it first.

Have a look on eBay I have seen laser assembly's for sale on there from time to time
