Hi all

I have a 2008 E220 W211 and noticed the temp is always at 80, ive read other reports which seem to suggest it should be 90, was just wondering what your ones read? just want to ensure I don't have a bad thermostat which is reducing my MPG!

Thanks :)

I have a C209 and mine has always read around 80-82 but warms up quick, heating works fine etc.

My personal experience: If it is dead on reading 80 then you need to replace the thermostat. It should be one or two (can't remember which) notch above that. My 320 ran one/two notches above 80 for eight years - it never varied. Then one day it dropped to dead on 80. I left it like that for a year or so and then had the t-stat replaced. It then was back where it had been since new.
