W211 E320 Fault Codes- bad running

Hi

My car is running poorly. Ive just serviced it (oil/filter/air filter/fuel filter). The car is in limp mode and the engine light is showing. Basically anytime you rev the car at all it does this and smoke like you would not believe. This has not happened before!

The fault codes showing are as follows:

2047-1 rail pressure too low
2015-1 pressure too low.

All I've done is service the car- before then no issues at all!!!

Don't think the last two codes would cause running issues, aren't the first two similar to what you posted about earlier this year? Did you ever get them looked at and resolved if not you could find that they have been seen by the ECU a number of times in which case it has gone into limp mode. You will need to get it on STAR to get some live data.

Hi, Thanks for this. I did indeed have something similar last year but a reset of the fault codes and a different fuel filter changed it all for the better. Now i've replaced like with like (Gutmann) and have problems again!

I don't know if I am on the right track with your problem, but I have heard it said numerous times that on a Merc you really must replace the fuel filter with a genuine MB one..
Sounds like your problem is fuel related so that would be my first port of call.

I just serviced my S210 320cdi last month using all parts from ECP which included Guttman fuel filter and no problems, car is running sweet apart from blocked cat which is in the process of being removed

Thanks Guys, I'll change the filter and see what happens but the last one was also Gutmann with no problems so am at a bit of a loss....

Unless the new filter is faulty in some way?
