e320cdi avantgarde estate
I bought a e320CDi Avantgarde estate Dec 2005 78k miles with full MB service history a mionth ago. Whilst driving to wales the satnav and radio switched off for a while then the the transmission started kangarooing. Switching on and off the problem was cleared. since then it has happen regularly . The independent garage I bought this from saw two errors. the oxygen sensor and the battery power. They replaced both but the problem has re-occured. sometiomes into limp mode sometimes just sorts itself but pretty disconcerting when going to overtake! Any suggestions as to the issue?

Many thanks

It wont have an oxygen sensor as such.

The battery control unit maybe faulty. needs a Star really

Sorry for being a bit dumb but needs a 'star' . does that mean someone really good to fix it or is it a technical term?

it means it needs to be connected up to the Mercedes diagnostic software (by Mercedes themselves or an independant garage with STAR)

Okay thanks I will google next time. i will ask them and let you know how I get on. Thanks!

I had similar symptoms, turned out to be dodgy alternator/regulator.
