W211 E320cdi Fault codes

Hi

My 53 plate E320cdi has thrown up the following fault codes.

2047-1 rail pressure too low
C16ED

Any ideas as to solutions?

What are the symptoms?

If it doesn't start it could be a number of things.

Fuel pump,
Lack of fuel
Injector leaking off
Rail sensor faulty
ETC

It needs plugging in to a Star and using a guided test. I would also carry out a off test.

The car drives ok. MPG is fine at around 41 if your trying or 37/8 on a M/way. The only time the check engine light comes on is when you floor it....

Like above; star can perform test procedudes for single components (and perhaps more accurate fault code, if pevious was just generic code)
