It is time to sell my E55 AMG. It has been a good car and has needed very little spending on it since I bought it in July last year. The only reason for selling is that I want to get back to something with a manual gearbox, which will likely be an E39 M5 (3rd one!).
When I bought the car it had 135k on it. It now has just over 139,500 miles, so I haven't put too many miles on it.
It has MOT until August.
The car is HPI clear and I am its 11th owner.
It is a 2004 805 build car which means it has the 200mph clocks, different grill on the dash and the all important better electrics as I understand it. It is in Cubanite silver which seems to suit the car nicely.
Cosmetically it is in good condition, a few marks here and there, but it is a 14 year old car, so this is to be expected. It has aftermarket 19" wheels with OK tyres. They have some life left in them but may need changing in a few months.
The airmatic suspension works fine, it doesn't seem to leak and works when you press the buttons. It raises as expected.
The car has a panoramic roof and all of this works as expected. I lubricated the runners after buying it and it continues to work fine to this day.
One of this cars big pluses is that it has rear folding seats. This feature alone is very welcome and makes loading things in the boot so much better. It also has a space saver spare wheel.
The car has Dynamic seats which work as does the heating / massaging functions. The seats are not air cooled. It also has COMMAND.
I took the car to MSL Performance in August for a check up and dyno run. Acid had a look at the car and said it was a good car which made me happy. He also noticed that the secondary cats had been removed which is why it sounds a little better
.
The car also has an 84mm pulley, Eurocharged map, newer Bosch IC pump and TCU update. The car made 444bhp and 534lbft of torque at the wheels, which MSL reckon is around 522bhp and 634lbft of torque at the crank. It definitely feels like it and goes very well for a big car!
At the time Acid noticed that the engine mounts were tired, so I had these and the gearbox mount replaced shortly afterwards with new items.
Overall the car is in good health, uses very little oil and starts at the turn of the key. The gearbox changes fine. I would have no issues taking this car on the continent today.
The car has a good service history, lots of receipts, and also has 2 keys (I bought a new key when I was at MSL).

I am looking for £8000 ovno for the car. I am located in Aylesbury. The car is still in use so the miles will go up, but not by too much.
