Hello All,

Just got a call from the garage where I was hoping to get braided hoses fitted today as current ones are bit perished and advisories on MOT. However, they said the rear bleed nipple is seized and rounded off so they didn't want to take any further risks. What would the best option be from here?

1) Get them taken off and sent for refurb
2) Buy used set and get them refurbed
3) Leave it as is as new set is way out of the picture 😢

Anyone know of mobile services that could remove and fit a new bleed nipple?

New ones I bought were £240 each.
 
Surprising isn't it , I thought they were going tobe megga bucks too when i replaced one of mine, same issue.
 
Also look to the motorbike shops for replacement stainless bleed nipples, mate of mine found some Ducati beauties for his 968!
 
Oxy acetylene, wd40, mole grips .
This would have been worth a try but the callipers had been freshly painted yellow and there’s no guarantee they come out clean without damaging the threads. The last thing needed would be for a bleed nipple to start leaking or fail!!! If the customer had time and space and didn’t need to use the car, send them off and get them refurbed and coated properly. This takes time and space and axle stands.
