W211 E55 keyfob?

My 2004 E55 keyfob required new batteries I replaced them and the key fob stopped working any ideas please. Does it need reprogramming etc???

You never bought dud batteries before? I just replaced batteries in my G Shock which lasted 2 weeks

Put them the correct way up I suppose.

If you press and hold the buttons do you see the flash from the red LED?

But as above - start with the basics, check the batteries are inserted correctly and working properly.

Have you got a spare keyfob to test with?

Sorted. I entered car this morning with spare key. Put the inoperative in the ignition, at first it wouldn’t turn then all of a suddrn it turned and started the car. After this it works fine opens and locks the car. I’m presuming it’s been reset??
