W211 E63 is impressive

That was one of the main reasons I sold mine, I loved the car and hated the box, took it to acid and he said I would have to have the TCU sent to the US etc.

That was too much BS for me as I needed the car on a daily basis. Otherwise I would still have it now.

Got a C63 now and it's got the same bloody gearbox!

Impressive - ive only managed 28.6 out of my 55.

The W211 has a lower Drag Coefficient than the W219, which I guess helps aswell.

Very impressive. 2 hours up and down the A34 last week gave me nearly 24 and it take a long time to loose the effects of starting from cold or town traffic. I shall be interested to see what a good 4 hour motorway trip gives.

Hmm, you obviously weren't trying nearly hard enough then. I usually get about 12-14mpg out of mine, but then it spends most of it's time blatting up and down the autobahn.
