S211 E320 CDI
Hi

I'm a new S211 owner (320 cdi sport). I've just had the car in for an A service (62k miles) and to replace some faults found - front bushings/arms and a few other items.

I now notice a noise from the rear. I can repeat consistently by stopping, letting the car pull away forwards for about a metre then applying the brakes reasonably firmly. The front sinks as expected from the braking and then as the rear rises there is a clear 'clunk' sound from the rear wheel area.

I have rocked the car on the shocks when standing still and can't reproduce any sound. The motion is also damped very quickly. This is steering me away from the shocks being the problem. I can't tell as yet if it's in the suspension linkage or perhaps in the brake linkage itself.

Any ideas or suggestions would be much appreciated.

C.
