w211 facelift foglights

I was trying the past 2 days to see how the foglights work. I could n't find anything. The lights are open when you turn (left or right).
Any ideas?

They also function as turning/cornering lights when your headlights are on.

I have noticed that.! thanks. But are they function as foglights or not ? and if yes how?

Yes....just pull the headlamp switch towards you.......do you have an owners manual? It's all in there. These are usually stored in the rear seat arm rest.
