W211 Facelift Mirrors Retrofit HELP!

Hi
I have a 2003 W211 E240 with the now very outdated looking side mirrors. I have decided, if possible, i would like to replace them with the facelift version.
I have done some research, which has left me in two minds with compatibility.

Basically i want to know if its possible to do? Also how can i retrofit the folding function as that would be a nice feature also?

My current car does not have folding mirrors, but does have the puddle lights fitted.

Any help is much appreciated!

Thank you for the link Mersumies, through the very bad English i think i understand what is necessary and required to do!

Could be harder than i thought! Might look for another mod to do instead.

OK, I clarify some things.

Door control module need to be right type, which supports folding. If the car has memory seats, they most probably are ok, but it can be checked by star. Option is the or not. If not, door card is needed.
Door control switch need to be changed.
There could be trouble to get automatic folding when doors are locked, button will work. Folding with locking can be done by new harness, instrument cluster and zwg year change modified to newer.
