Can anyone advise what the following fault code really means ............ “2510 Boost Pressure Actuator PCR component defective” ........... and is it significant ? The fault refers to a 2005 E320 Cdi which has occasional power delivery problems and sometimes goes into limp mode ...... this can be cured by turning off the engine and re-starting.

It means the turbo actuator is broken. Very common problem.

We fit new Garrett Turbos to cars that suffer with this. We have tried using re-furbished actuators but we find that the either dont work or dont last.

Not as bad as you think, what area are you in?

Well buy a recon one on ebay for £100 and get it fitted.

I understood the actuator that is repaired has to come off the original turbo that it was supplied with to give the settings for the engine it was fitted too?

In other words send your own actuator to get repaired and hope there is no problem afterwards?
