W211 front shocks avantgrde

Hi All. Can anyone help me? I need to get new shocks on the front of my 2002 w211 and I am way confused on type I need. Does anyone know if I have sports suspension and a standard chassis? Looked at loads of places to buy them but the fitting descriptions vary so much. Can anyone supply a part number for me please? Thanks Paul

You have sports suspension and a standard chassis. Go for the Sachs ones from euro car parts , they're good.

+1 on the Sachs, and from ECP - I bought a pair when they had one of their flash sales and from memory they were circa £180 the pair. The old, original, dampers were not shot, but I replaced them as part of a front end refresh and there was a noticeable difference.
