w211 front suspension dissasembling tools

Hi guys
Help needed in what tools can I use to dissassemble the front suspension as the spring snapped on mine and when trying to take the top mount off the shock absorber shaft spins with the top bolt.
What tool can i use to hold the shaft still?

Normally an allen key used to hold the shaft

No it wont work that way as the bolt seats deep in the top mount

Take the bottom shock bolt out instead?

He meant hold the shock absorber shaft with a thick cloth/leather swatch so as not to damage the surface of the shaft under the wing inside the spring.

Use an electric/air impact driver on the top nut and it will fly off without holding the shaft usually.

Got the other problem my kompressors too simple to compress the springs and had to buy a proper tool.
