Good evening

This is my first post regarding my first MB car. It's a 2008 E320 sport that rides horribly on most roads. I have receipts for new rear springs fitted last year from non specialist, the rear looks too high to me compared with other e class. All tyres are new Goodyear F1's. Tyre pressures are 32psi all round. The car brakes true but there is a small amount of play/wobble when driving on any road.

Guessing it's shocks and or springs but would appreciate some experienced advice please

I have a w211 sport too and yes the ride is a bit harsh coz of the tougher springs. You will get used to it with time

Sounds like the new springs are the wrong ones.

Spring rate being too high for the car will result in the increased ride height you're noticing, toghether with a stiff (hard and crashy) ride. It's worth checking them against a verified correct pair.

The wobble could be Anti-roll bar bushes allowing too much side-to-side movement before they operate, and the play could be any number of worn suspension bushes/swivels, track-rod ends of even the steering box, (assuming it has one!).

There's no substitute for getting underneath and giving the suspension a good bend with a tyre lever or similar, whilst watching for excessive movement in the joints/swivwls etc..
