W211 heater booster

Well I definitely have the symptoms of a defective heater booster with the air blowing full power after approx 10-20 secs stone cold on start up.... but I’m just wanting to find out if the booster is behind the dash on the early w211 ? Mine is the 2003 model.....

yep inside air duct... need to remove whole dashboard

Do you mean the fan/motor assembly? If so reasonably easy to get to by removing panel under glovebox. See Youtube.

The fan and functions work fine it’s just on 1st start up when the air blows out on full after a few secs there’s no hot air where the booster come s on, just cold air now.... so sounds like the dash is coming out lol and I’ve watched a YouTube clip on how to and doesn’t look too bad just have to be careful with the air bag plugs....
