I had a 220CDi 53 plate estate off a friend for a week and I thought it was fine powerwise. Best thing to do is drive them and then decide.

For urban driving, the smaller engine would be the most logical choice.

The 320 CDi is quite thirsty in city driving.

Cheers

Thanx for you comments on the matter, are injectors common faults or am i just reading comments from the unlucky few!!!!

220. I have a 320 and its thirsty, very thirsty in town. But 85% of my driving is out of town.

320 all day long...love it:rock:

as said 220 is what you want, I drive my 280 short journeys all the time and see 22-24mpg. But I couldn't give it up for the extra power on the motorways.

According to the trip computer at an average of 15mph, I get 27-28mpg, which isn't too bad. Go for the 320 if you can afford it, at least you have a bit of fun 15% of the time!

Also, the 320 may be better value buying second-hand than the 220 because they may be less in demand. Try and find a good well-specced one, privately owned. I did! :)

I say the 220 because of the gas mileage.
