Hi,

A few threads on the subject but hoping someone might spot something 'obvious' for me to investigate.

The load cover rails are 'stuck' in the down / closed position and won't open / release when I open the boot.

Tried so far:
> Remove fuse
> Check position of magnet sensor
> Reset rails to open (will close perfectly with no over run but won't reopen)
> Open and close rear seats, listening for 'beep' confirmation
> Open boot slowly / gently

Is there a relay that to operate the motor in reverse or something else I should look at?

Fixed a few other niggles so would be nice to sort this too.

Thank you in advance
Shane

Funny enough my does exactly the same, or rather it doesn't if that makes sense  I agree it would be nice if it works..

When tested, I was told the motor needed replacing in mine, with no signs of power, and it hasn't worked for three years. Whilst working away before Christmas, the battery went flat through non usage, and after jump starting the car, it has worked perfectly since!

I'm sure you removing the fuse would have had the same effect, but just thought I'd throw that in!

The workings of the load cover are a complete and utter mystery. I thought that outside temperature and battery voltage were controlling factors but I also think that not having the back seats not being correctly seated is also a controlling factor. Ultimately, it seems to me that the load cover is a law unto itself and may or may not work depending on what it feeld like!
