I am in the planning stages of attempting to install the iPod harness in to my W211. I already have Comand APS, Factory phone, Harmon Kardon, etc. So it should not need any Star Diagnostic "tweaks" post install.

I have secured the "use" of a Mercedes WIS DVD for the W211 but the retrofit intructions are for a LHD W211. They explain the cable should be routed from the rear left of the boot, across to the right, and down the RHS to the right footwell. For us in the UK, does the harness run down the LHS to the passenger footwell ? or does it run down the RHS like the LHD version and cross behind the steering column to the left footwell ? If I'd already purchased the cable then that would probably give me a clue... but I am planning.

Has anyone completed this "mod" that can advise pls ?

I guess thats because the connector is in the glove box.

All the wiring from the AGW/DVD Navigation to the COMAND unit runs down the LHS of the car.

That's right. It all happens on the left side. There is no need to cross sides.
