W211 message on dash help?

Hi

My 2003 e320 cdi has a message on the dash asking "maintenance check carried out on time"

How do I get rid of it?

You may be able to clear it in the same way as resetting next service display.

What does the message mean? I want to keep Full Service History, but if it's just a reminder for the MOT, then I will clear it myself if I can.

So does anyone know if it's a reminder for a service or an MOT? I thought if it was a service reminder it would tell me if it was a C or D service or something similar?

I'm not aware of W211s advising when an MOT is due...

Mine only advises when a service is due and that's it.

The first message in the OP looks like something you could thank the car for pointing it out...

In the workshop menu, on the special work screen you can set the month and year for exhaust gas inspection and general maintenance reminder. To clear it I think you just need to set a new further date for the inspection IIRC.
