When looking under my car I noticed what looks like a jacking point dead centre, about 50cm back from the license plate. Can anyone tell me if this is a jacking point? Don't want to try lifting the car on it till I know!

yes, big rubber block!

From the front, wasn't sure if it was a lifting point or something to protect from bottoming out.

front there is a rubber jacking point, tbh i normally use the side point but use a rubber hockey puck which is fitted to the jack to avoid any damage

I just thought for getting the front up on axle stands it could be useful as I could put the trolley jack under the central point and the axle stands on the side lifting points. When I looked under the car I couldn't see any suitable point to place the axle stands without taking all the plastic trays off first.

HiThis point can be used as a jacking point, just be careful if jack head to big you can sometimes crack the under trays, just try & get the block central to jack head. Then put axle stands on side jacking points, no problem.
If you need to jack the rear of the car you can place the jack under the diff to raise it then put stands on rear jacking points.

Hockey puck, what a great idea Alps
