W211 oils to be used???

Hi just a quick question I need to top my oil up in e320 cdi estate, and was just wondering what engine oil people use and what brands??? All advice greatly appreciated. Cheers

Sooooo many threads on here about this!

The oil needs to be to MB229.3 or MB229.5 spec as a minimum.

Favourites on here include Mobil 1 and Shell Helix.

I expect many further posts!

So do I use a fully synthetic, 0-40 or something different? Cheers

Mobil 1 0w-40 will be fine.
