Car is a 05 E220 CDI with OM646.961 Engine.

I need to change a leaking coolant pipe between the EGR cooler and oil cooler. I had a look at the job today and it looks like the charge air manifold has to come off which looks like a pig of a job.

I had the pipe next to this one replaced a few years back by a garage and was only charged a few hours labour so wondering if there's another way. If the pipe had a jubilee clip on it I think there'd be just enough access to fit the new one but I've tried and really struggling to get the spring loaded clip off the hose even after reorienting with the limited access. Another option is to try and remove the oil cooler but I don't want to wait on a new gasket being delivered.

Has anyone done this job before and can advise or would be kind enough to see if there's anything on WIS?
