W211 rear subframe bushes

Has anyone done this job? Did you do it with a tool or a press? Is this tool from eBay okay for the job?

That looks like it should do the job.

I used a hammer and chisel to remove my old ones, not really recommended as they're oil filled but it got them out. Used a similar looking thing to that to get the new ones back in though as I didn't want to damage them. W201 but same principles apply.

Did you use a specialist tool or something you fabricated yourself?

A combination of a spring compressor and some spacers.
