W211 SBC brake problems?

Hello, new boy here!

Have any of you guys had any problems regarding brakes binding after a short stop, not the parking brake.

eg, At a petrol station after a fill, I drove away and all was fine. I then drove about 50 yards then stopped at a juction. When the lights turned green, the brakes felt as though they were partially on although the parking brake had never been activated. Several cycles of ignition on/off cleared the problem.

This has happened twice so far on a week old E270 CDI with around 1000 miles on it.

Any ideas/ comments gladly received.

Take it into the dealer.

It sounds like a problem where the hill start feature is coming on when it shouldn't. Probably a software glitch.

It does sound like the brake hold feature fitted to the very latest cars. I'm sure the dealer will investigate!

Cheers for the replies! Of course, it`s all working OK at the moment but I`ll keep an eye on it in the next few weeks.

Any more dramas and I`ll see if MB dealer service is up to scratch!
