W211 with ntg 2.5 cd changer compartment

Sorry this isn't in the electronics section but I can't create a post there on my phone.

I have upgraded to ntg2.5 and have lost the "secret compartment" where the cd changer sometimes goes.

Has anyone found a way to get the drawer working again? I am an electronics engineer by trade so I might be able to invent a gadget to do it but I haven't got a clue what wires do what in that area so even if someone has wiring detail for that area it would help but a ready made solution is preferred ;-)

Hello, did you find an answer to this? I'm trying to find out the same thing!! I'm wondering what's behind the cd changer panel in the newer w211's? There must be a solution... The only one I have found costs 160 euro from a guy in Germany.

KABELDAVIKO - Index The part you need is a video in motion module.. I'm wondering how the compartment works in the newer cars? Would it be cheaper to buy one from the same model car the stereo came from?
