Hello guys,i'm new to this forum and i would ask for your advice on a problem that i have.

I have a W212 E 220 Blue Efficiency 2009 and few days ago the engine light came up. The car goes in limp home mode as it really struggles to accelerate. I connected it to star diagnosis and it showed me the following error:

P246397 - The soot content of the Diesel particulate filter is not OK. The system function is restricted.

I had an exhaus expert here to come to check if the DPF is stuck and he removed the sensor piping and said that if the DPF was stuck it would blow the exhaust gass trough the holes (but it did not) and he told me that the DPF is 100% okay.
Next i got another DPF sensor and installed it (cleared the error codes, but they showed up again) and tried the car. And still no improvements, car still stuck in limp home.

I'm the second owner of the car and the car has 180 000 km. The car had had never its injectors replaced as i saw that that was a common problem with this engine.

Did any of you guys encounter this? Can you give me some suggestions what to do? I would really appreciate any kind of help.

I got the same problem with my E250 since last week. What is disturbing is I fitted a new DPF about three months ago. I am taking it to the garage tomorrow and will let you know how that goes

DPF excess soot content

Hi there,

I have the same problem with my E250 (W212). Just used a Launch scan tool and came up with the following codes
P246398 The soot content of the DPF is not OK the function is restricted.
P068500 The output for the relay 'Circuit 87' (Combustion Engine) has an electrical fault or an open circuit.

Has anyone got any suggestions?

Cheers
