E63 AMG. MINI One.
I know this can be done as MB HQ have confirmed it but my local dealer is struggling.

Does anybody know how its changed, so I can point the stealer in the right direction?

Many thanks.

There must be a hidden menu...somebody will know.

This was written for a W211 courtesy of member Alps when he did his own car a few years ago. I found it on the other forum and thought I'd up it just in case it does happen to work on yours: -

AMG logo
Turn ignition key to position 1 or 2.
2. Turn on Command.
3. Turn to Radio.
4. Press 5 (continue holding and wait 1 second).
5. Press 3 (continue to hold along with 5 key and wait 1 second).
6. Press 7 (continue to hold along with 5 and 3 keys and wait about 3 seconds).
7. A menu should appear. Scroll down and select "AMG211_ECE" option.
8. Switch off ignition, remove key and leave about 5 minutes before turning on again

IIRC Whitenemesis also did a write up on this somewhere, but my search skills have let me down big style today unfortunately. :(

^ Those instructions do work for a W211.
I changed my Comand start up screen a long tme ago using the above.

Thanks. To be fair I did this in my W211 & it did work, but it never crossed my mind to give a go in this one! We'll soon see [emoji106]

Does the W204 C63 have an alternative logo (AMG) to the MB one?

You try this at your own risk .....

I did this on my CLS55 and had the AMG start-up screen.

You try this at your own risk!! No guaranties it will work on your model/COMAND and be aware you can brick your expensive COMAND ....

It could be either of the following, no way of knowing which will work for your combo. For me it was the first one ....

STEP1: Turn ignition to position 2 (NOT turning engine on)
STEP2: Turn on your COMAND unit and select CD.

STEP3: Press "5" button.
STEP4: While holding "5" down, press "3" and "7" down and hold all three buttons down for about 10 seconds until next screen shows up.
STEP5: At the new screen scroll down to select "AMG211_USA"

Step 6: Press "Back" soft key to get out of programming screen

Step 7: Turn car off and wait about 3 to 5 minutes for COMAND to "reset" itself

Step 8: Turn on COMAND unit and you should see AMG logo screen

I'm very keen to follow your very clear and simple instructions after you've tried it on your 212 and proved it works without borking the COMAND unit :D.
