I've swapped out the Audio20 for an NTG4. All is up and running apart from GPS.

On the engineering diagnostics I get error code 00000100 for the GPS antenna.

The NTG4 Head unit has a double Blue FAKRA connector on the rear and I have the original Blue single FAKRA from the Audio20 and the OEM GPS antenna has a single Blue FAKRA. I can only fit one at a time and have defaulted to just connecting the GPS dongle.

Does this error mean the unit is goosed or the GPS Antenna is bad or that I need to get an adapter to connect both blue plugs?

First off leave the car in open air so that the GPS antenna has a clear view of the sky. With it all connected just wait. It can take a while to collect the GPS locations.

If after say 15 minutes it doesnt find any, try the other side of the double fakra. (one side is the bluetooth the other GPS). Once it finds four or more, drive the car and the current position will be updated.

Done forget to fit the fans as the comand can get very very hot without it.

It seems to me it is the screen that gets hot not the HU. Are the fans for the screen? It is scorching

Ok, now I'm confused.

If I go to the GPS Info screen (Engineering 1/2, option 3-2) I see that all 12 posibble satellites are 00 000 00. The time is set to January 2000 and the Used indicator says 0.

If I overide the date/time to set for now it instantly picks up 7-9 satellites all with Az/El values. However, the used indicator stubbonly stays at 0. I've driven 20 miles with the HU reporting 7-9 sats with no joy.

Any ideas?

It was just a dodgy GPS adapter. Fitted a new one any all well within seconds
