W212 Coolant Cooler

Hi Chaps
My W212 2011 coolant is a murky brown colour. I attach a pic. Is this ok? Is it still original does anyone know? What type is it as never seen any this colour before, your thoughts appreciated.

I had a coolant leak from the top hose where it joins the radiator. So had bottom cover off and partially drained the coolant, pulled clip up and top hose off. The o ring was leaking because it was crudded up so cleaned it up and reseated.

Hard to tell from pic, but doesn’t look to pretty. You do get an orange coolant is there a chance someone has mixed it with green? Would that make brown?

Mine is bright blue.

Not sure which engine you have but some have a small oil/coolant heat exchanger to assist warm up.These can leak allowing oil to enter the coolant [the oil is at higher pressure] and this would give rise to that colour.

It can be that colour. Its red coolant thats a bit old me thinks.
