Mercedes E-Class W212 6-door stretch limousine by BINZ

Famed limousine manufacturer Binz has given a special treatment to the W212 Mercedes-Benz E-Class. The car was stretched by 1.13 meters to almost six-meters in length, providing enough room for an extra set of doors and seats.

The seven-passenger luxury vehicle was given a full review by engineers to guarantee a high level of rigidity. Optionally-available armor and bulletproofing keeps passengers safe in a number of dangerous situations.

Sadly, the lack of an AMG engine choice may make it harder to pull this beast out of those situations. Instead, the 292-horsepower (218-kW) 350 CGI and 204-horsepower (152-kW) E250 BlueEfficiency engines will be available, along with the 388-hp (289-kW) E500.

And for those of you who do not wish to look at your fellow passengers, you'll be happy to know that the rear-facing center seats may be turned around.

Is a limo technically a cut n shut? Or more precisely, a cut, add n shut....

It's something I've always thought when looking at them....Someone has cut that car in half and welded it back together.

I like the limo. Not sure about the estate!!

Talking of Binz hearses, I've seen a few W211 hearses with CLS front ends on them.

I have worked on the Binz 211 limo's. They are a right pain as they are soooo long.

Quality is fair but we had a few with SRS issues and I had to re-wire a couple.

Guys if I ever get taken out in a drive-by, please make sure my final ride is in the E Class hearse.

Almost all stretched limos are "cut and shut" with the obvious exception of the MB pullman models which are factory-built as stretched vehicles (frequently listed as "longest production car" etc).

All E class limos start as saloons , the the hearses start as Estates . I work for a company that converts them , its not Binz though , its Duffy i work for .

Black 55 , where the SRS problems due to the joints in the wires for the rear seat belts not being soldered ? We had a problem with this on the 211
