I was wondering whether it was possible to redirect the water jets as mine are too low. I have looked in the paper handbook and the electronic version and can find no reference to it. In the old days you just stuck a pin into the nozzle and redirected it, but this doesn't look possible on the E.

I have done a search on the site but cannot find any information, but my searching technique may be at fault as I have never manged to find anything I wanted to know on the site by using the search. But that may need another thread to tell me where I am going wrong.

w212 e class washer jet adjustment

To adjust the windscreen washer jets on a w212 e class you need a special tool as follows.
WS82.00-P-0147A 001 589 02 16 00 Adjustment tool FG 82/Set A 22.9.10
MODEL 204, 207, 212, 218
Use:
For adjusting the fan washer nozzles for the window cleaning system

I have contacted the main dealer and the price for the correct tool is £22.13 + vat and it has to be ordered from Mercedes in Germany. I think i will try to make one up as this price is well over the top just to adjust washer jets.

I found out there was a special tool to adjust the nozzles but like you thought it was too expensive for what it was and the amount of use it would get. I made up my own tool from two pieces of metal flat bar bent into a L shape but I haven't got around to joining them together. However, by just holding them together I managed to get the nozzles to move. But as the car was going into the dealer for some work under guarantee I got them to fine tune the adjustment with the right equipment.

This windscreen washer jet tool for W204, W207, W212, W218 is available through Amazon, although not branded Mercedes, does the job just fine, and a quarter the price: https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07YTQFDPQ
Thank you to @brianpaul for the original part number 👍

Wow ! great thread revival , 10 years. The tool you show does not work on many MB's with 'slot type' washer nozzles , it's too big to fit in the slots , if it did fit it would make no difference as the nozzles for which no tool is available are not adjustable.
