HI folks i need a rear suspension air bellows for my E250 w212 2012 estate any recommendations?

Autodoc supplier of Arnott Air suspension.
I found autodoc were cheaper when you ordered them through their app on my phone. I paid around £250 each two years ago and £100 to get them fitted. Its not a massive job.

Just looked and Arnott are around £275 each. When I researched it Arnott were the top recommended. The price varies as Autodoc are a European company.

Cheers....ive had enough of the car to be honest in all likelyhood it will be sold if i ever get it back. Ive spent over £600 now on bits and god knows what garage will ask for so looking as cheap as possible.

Why has it done mega mileage? That engine is pretty much bullet proof good for 300.000 miles.

I also used Autodoc and bought Arnotts. All good.

I know this is an old thread but I have just bought a pair of units from a company called Aerosus - based in Germany they were £244.80 for the pair shipped to my address in UK.

They aren't original MB parts but the car is nearly 10 years old and I've gone past worrying about things like that - it's my daily runabout/shed for taking things to tip.

Are you 100% sure it’s the airbags? The airlines can leak as well and are cheaper to replace. I replaced the airbags on mine but turned out mainly to be the airlines (and also the compressor). It’s a great system but I think you have to consider these service parts really.

To be honest its a bloody nightmare. As you can see from date of post it waz a while ago. Garage had car for nearly 9 months..i know... ridiculous. As the car is 11yrs old i was getting warranted usex parts and lots of them and its still not working properly..grrrr

Frustrating but FWIW my 212 is now 13 yrs old and has brought me and the family down to France yet again. A good one is pretty tough but when things do go pop I try to use OEM or equivalent parts.

Anyway, good luck with yours. Sounds like you're having a mare. That can also happen.

I feel your pain, I had a frustrating time with mine with the rear suspension. I ended up replacing everything. It seems the life expectancy is about 10 years. I used Arnott airbags and a Merc refurbished compressor and Merc airlines. (And just for luck an OEM valve block). The system does work amazingly well - I’ve just a fully loaded trip to The Netherlands and it’s brilliant. To be fair BMW also have issues with their air suspension - nature of the beast I think. Best thing is find a decent specialist familiar with the system.

I'd already replaced the valve and the lines and the symptoms were still there. Now that I have replaced the airbags it is all working properly again.

Lewy, out of interest, where in Liverpool are you and which garage do you use?
