    Hi There
I have an 2010 W212 E350 CDI Estate with rear only air suspension and the car also has adaptive lights

The air suspension is giving me problems and I am looking to see if there is an upgrade/exchange system for the suspension such as standard shocks and springs may be upgraded or lowered or coil-over type suspension such as Bilstein B12kit or others.
I want to check before I spend loads of money on a straight replacement that gives me a so-so ride quality to see if there is an upgrade

    Any suggestions

Try Arnott for a coil spring conversion. They do one for the 211 cheaper than aftermarket air bag replacement. Wish they had fitted my particular model as would have preferred the reliability

I have tried them but I think it is just for a 211:(

    What problems are you having?
Is the rear of the car dropping if parked for a while?
The air suspension units may be leaking -- they are probably the original so now 9+ years old.
There may be a leak in the air lines which is worth checking first as it is a cheap fix.

Replacement units aren't too expensive -- if you go for non-MB units.
Using the air suspension units means that the car retains the self-levelling characteristics no matter what the load is in the back of the car.

Lots of voodoo about these systems. Most of the time there is a pretty simple fault and they work so well when operational. True there is a point to give up. Are you there yet?
