Hi

I'm hoping someone can help me

My 2012 W212 fuel flap is stuck closed and it wont open. I have pulled the emergency release in the boot but that wont release it either. I presume that the actuator pin has got stuck or simply doesn't work anymore. I did think it might be the fuse but I cant see from my fuse list where the fuse is located for the fuel flap.

Does anyone have any ideas where the fuse may be or how I can get the flap open.

Thanks

Probably vacuum actuated as in previous models. The emergency release pulls on the pin...it should pull back. Keep trying.

I keep pulling it but no luck. I also feel that by pulling it too much will break the plastic cord as I can feel it stretching

I have experienced this on a few occasions, I just keep tapping the LHS of the flap, it eventually released, don't know what the problem is tho

Pulling the emergency release just didn't work. In the end I had to force the fuel flap open. I presume it must have bent the the actuator rod temporarily but it seemed to spring back in place again. I used WD 40 on the rod and it now seems to retract OK (for the time being anyway!)

Mine has no release you just push it inwards and it pops open, push it in to lock it.
Mine is a 2014 E300 Hybrid.

They are not talking about pulling the flap but pulling the emergency release.

The flap is locked when doors are locked, yours should be too.

Doh!
See what happens when you really know nothing still my intention was well meant.
