W212 oil leak from front

hey all, got me an oil leak from the front of engine in front of fan, its seems to be coming from around this silver box as pictured, anyone know what this could be? Cant get into my specialist until Thursday

I had a little look on google and seen mentions of oil cooler (common problem??) with repairs costing 1000s?? Is it time to start digging deep into pockets

Any ideas appreciated

Already booked in with Robin lamb specialist for Thursday. They quoted 366 for parts and labour but I am going to get them to service gearbox at same time so will be slightly more than that

Just to finish thread off by saying it was indeed the gearbox oil cooler leaking, so had that replaced and had the gearbox oil serviced at same time, all in a good price of £426
