W212 Passenger mirror drop when selecting reverse?

Hi All,

So 2 days into E300 Bluetech Hybrid ownership and I'm really liking the car, which says something when I've just come from a C63.

However I cannot work out - and this includes from looking in the manual - whether all E-classes should have auto-dipping passenger mirror when reverse is selected. My car does not have the memory seat function, however the manual doesn't state whether this is a requirement for the mirror dropping function.

Can anyone shed any light on this?

I believe it is a pre-requisite although one of my S Classes came from the factory with this bit of software missing.

I have a feeling this is part of the memory seat package.

If it's like my S-class, I too found this option confusing...seemingly not in the settings. Can't remember if it was reset using STAR, or I had to push down the passenger side mirror button on the drivers door panel? Mine doesn't have the memory seat option either.

If you have it its in the convenience menu, plus you need to have the passenger mirror selected rather than the drivers on the actual mirror control button at all times.

My E doesn’t have memory seats and no dip, my wife’s E has both.
