W212 side mirror opening too far?!

All of a sudden my W212 side mirror opens past the stopping point when it electronically unfolds... I’ve pushed it into the correct position but it doesn’t ‘click’ into the right position.
Hope that makes sense.

Any ideas guys?

Sounds like a problem with the motor. I had a similar problem with the CLK, cured it by replacing the motor and wiring loom. Mine would open part way and flop about because it was not locking into the groove on the base plate. Sometimes I could get it to lock out by messing with it, fiddly job to do but worth the bother. MB list the motor for mine but not the loom from the DCM so I made one.
