W212, w204, 250 or 350 CDI efficiency?

Mine is a Sport (E350 CDI)....it does have the black headliner and no sunroof which is a pity.....but have light grey leather on the seats and the door, along with the silver metal inserts, really brings it to life. No way Id have a black leather one but its personal choice and I know others on here would not consider anything other than black. But my interior feels much bigger than the black ones IMO.
As far as ride goes....firm but compliant and stiff enough to go around corners properly. My seats are real leather too.
Poor pic attached!!

I totally agree. The reason virtually every car has black leather is simple: British people have poor/boring taste. Your car looks like my perfect pick tbh. Anyway, happy car hunting awaits and glad I'm pretty sure what I want now...

My ideal car has always been black paintwork and black leather..... 😊

Only two of my cars so far actually met this criteria, though.

They are about.

I spec'd my E350CDI Avantgarde as Indium Grey exterior with Almond Beige leather and Open-pore Ash wood, and it had a Macadamia Beige headliner. It always attracted positive attention.

exquisite 👍
you're the exception that proves the rule about British poor taste !:)

Thanks. I was even complimented on my colour scheme choice by the lady who did the Customer Collection handover in Sindelfingen

I have both a 59 plate 231bhp and a 60 plate 265bhp W212. The 231bhp one has done about 183k miles and the other has only about 52k. The 231 has been remapped to 282 peak hp but the 265 is stock (yet still feels faster than the than the 231 in normal driving - not impressed with the remap).

Both have had the emissions ECU update a few years ago and the difference in MPG between the two cars isn't anything huge to write home about, the 265 is a little better but certainly not 6mpg on average. Certainly never seen more than low 50s on a long run in the summer with lots of 50mph limits and never going over 60-65 etc. Most likely you'll see something in the 40s on a long run, getting into the 50s is rare unless I reset the trip computer once the car's already warm.

The emissions update cost both cars ~15% in fuel efficiency.

The 231bhp is ULEZ 'compliant' and the newer 265bhp one isn't. For some reason, some of the 231bhp models seem come up as ULEZ compliant, but none of the 265 cars do. If you're looking on e.g. auto trader can check their reg on the ULEZ website.

280k+ miles is reassuring 👍

🤢 Euew.....not for me....is there anything else blue in the car for those random bits to tie in with??...but each to their own and you don't get much more personal than colour choice.......At first I thought the steering wheel was turned 180 degrees....but its actually styled to look upside down!!

With all that's been said and my father having had one for a year , a 5 Series is right up there .

I like BMWs but I could not play Russian roulette with their appalling fragility at higher miles (timing chains, flaps, turbos, goodness knows what else)

Really like the i3, much nicer than the ugly present electric BMWs imho. But I cannot charge at home so will not be in an electric car until street charging is a reliable and easy thing.
