W212 windscreen washer nozzle adjustment

The washer nozzles on my 2012 W212 need adjusting. I know about the special tool, but when I looked at them, there's a slot below the actual aperture that looks tailor-made for a screwdriver of the right size. Is it? Will I break anything if I do it that way?

AFAIK can only be adjusted with the factory tool

I adjusted mine with a small thin plier, and that worked well.
The nozzles could be a little hard to adjust
