Not too keen on the dash, looks as if was a bit of an afterthought.

Looks awesome. I really like the S Coupe interior and this isn't that far removed.

No doubt the diamond leather will be a an £8K Designo option though.

The press release refers to the 2016 E-class, yet the interior pics are apparently from the 2017 E-class. When do we actually get it - anyone know?

I'm pretty much biased where MB car design is concerned, I own a W210 E class and just love the overall look of it, I also think the 211 is pretty damned good looking too, if I had to buy another model of MB it would be the drop dead gorgeous CLS in any guise, I prefer the larger models and the older designs of Mercedes Benz, the 210 was the first MB that made me sit up and take notice of what MB were about (easily pleased I suppose)
The spy shot car is to me another Heinz 57 eurobox, take the grill off and it could be 'badge engineered' into whatever you want :fail If the average prospective buyer can see reflections of Rover 75, BMW, Honda, etc: in a new MB design ... someone is getting lazy in the design team!.
Just my opinion (which counts for nothing really) but .... definitely NOT a fan.
