Is that a tablet screen I see on the dash? I sure hope that's there to mislead people. It's a nasty solution that doesn't deserve to grace the inside of an E class.

Its going to be a twin TFT screen, as per the W222. - ignore the temp analogue dials.

Need to know what's in those bottles with the green & red tops. :)

Hope the rear lights aren't going to be C Class derived, much prefer the look of the S Class ones...

Remote Parking Pilot

Could be interesting, while somewhat risky to my mind. How good are you with remote control model cars and planes? Hope they've built in safeguards against human error.

Instead of buying a new car with that function, I think the guy in the video should buy a house with a bigger garage, then he could drive the car in and open the door.:D

Looks like a copy of the Range Rover app that was on the One Show a few weeks ago.

Not risky, much safer than conventional parking as you have better vision of surroundings. The user only controls the speed of movement, up to a max of 1 or 2mph. The car does all the steering and uses parking sensors to stop the car before hitting anything.

What if you lost your phone and some 'scrote' found it?

Not as bad as if you lost your keys!

Hi,
Saw the new BMW 7 series video that also had remote parking a few weeks ago.
I guess car manufacturers are all using the same systems from their suppliers and are all launching them at around the same time.
It seems that it is difficult to introduce something truly unique on a new car these days!
Cheers
Steve

Will that be legal in the UK?

I thought leaving a car running when you're not sat in it was illegal never mind driving it by remote control?

We've been told it won't be available here until 2017
