Hi,

Went away for a holiday, and on return, the centre console switches have 'failed'.
There is no function for hazard warning lights (indicators work fine).
The door lock/unlock. Rear headrest release. Parking sensor on/off. ABC raise/lower. Sport mode. ESP on/off.

Car drives A ok.

Couldn't find a fuse which would point to all that, but heard that switches are in effect multiplexed and advised that swapping them may clear it.

Well I've tried that today, plugged the replacement switchback in, and there was no difference. :fail

I've plugged an icarsoft980 in, and it didn't point to anything.

(It said N72 not communicating with ECU - which I believe controls the ABC - car is driving fine, not losing height, not 'crashy' over bumps etc - so wondered if that is to do with switches being inop, or is it in some way the issue?)

Anyone know where N72 is located, and what other name it may go by?

Anyone know of a fuse or unit common to all? ...and its location!

Thanks.

Update, N72 is the upper control module, so it looks like that is the culprit.

On the car logic site it says it's plugged into X30 which is apparently in drivers footwell area.

Does anyone know a part number for this item?
Is X30 a SAM? (Asking in case it's not the n72 but whatever it plugs into)
Will the N72 have to be coded with star?

Thanks for any info you can give :thumb:

All Sorted :)

I was just about to book it in with Terry at Wayne Gates, and he took a moment to check a wiring diagram, there is a fuse F26 covers N72.....

One 10a fuse change and all is working again, you have to respect service that helpful.

Massive thank you to Terry. :) :thumb:
