W215 CL Problems

New Member recently purchased a 2001 CL500 and looking for some information. Hopefully someone has had similar faults in the past and can point me in the right direction.

1/ Convenience featue does not work e.g. open and close all windows and sunroof from remote key. The windows are programmed but the rears do not go up with one touch, I suspect this is normal.

2/ Cigarette lighter not working, all fuses are in good condition.

3/ Scrape on the drivers side window. Having difficulty deciding if it's on the inside or the outside. Previous Mercedes had a problem with door insulation and the plastic lock cover scraping glass, possibly the same fault.

4/ Rear blind does not operate from switch although when I put 12 volts into the wiring from the relay to the rear blind it operted satifactory, so the blind motor and mechanism are in working order.

These faults may be linked. The car has many extras and all is working satisfactory except these annoying problems.

Capp quick fix with electrical gremlins is to disconnect the battery for 20 mins or such and let it drain, some systems are incredibly complex.

The rear windows only go down with one touch not up.

Thanks but I'll wait first dont want to reset all the electronics: radio, windows, clock etc.

How can they auto close without the one touch operation on the up mode. Does the windows and sunroof close with everyone else CL.

As I said to reset one touch you normally disconnect the battery then the first time you put them up resets them.

Balls to your radio settings.

It's not the one touch I'm trying to fix it's the convenience feature and the other faults.

So apart from the battery anything else!
