Hello,

Just curious if its just one of those coincidences or whether there could be a connection to the shortages. the other day a warning pops up on my dashboard warning me that the licence plate light bulb has gone and needs replacing. the next day, having driven and ignoring the warning (was looking into getting a replacement bulb at the weekend) I got a front side light die as well. I've ordered the bulbs and looking to replace myself, and seems quite self explanatory, but wondered if the two incidences could be connected and if something else could be wrong with the car?

please help me understand!!!

many thanks

I've picked up the bulbs and started working on the replacements (licence plate light first) and turns out neither of the licence plate lights were blown, so after reinstalling it, the only light that is still out is the front side light - the H5W 434 side light. I've successfully managed to replace the light and everything seems to be working again but I have one problem - whilst it was a little stiff to pull out the light housing, i'm not sure how it was actually attached, and as a result the light housing is currently not secured onto the casing (if you know what i mean?). from what i can tell, theres a rubber ring seal on the light housing that forms some sort of seal with the casing?

can anyone shed some light (snarf...) on this?
