W215 TV Upgrade

I have a 2001 CL500 with the older style Comand which has now lost the TV function due to the signal being turned off. Has anyone actually upgraded their similar system to operate using an aftermarket digital TV.

The tuners have an aux input so many people add an aftermarket digital tuner which will plug into to the aux input on the factory tuner.

Thanks for both of the replies, I appreciate the prompt response. I've read through the Digibox conversion: sounds very clever. Will hopefully give it a try in a few weeks.

You dont have to use a domestic digital box. Plenty of dedicated aftermarket car ones.
