W216 CL Command Unit inconsistencies

On my 2014 CL when I start the car the Command Unit for music/radio will either work or it will not. Restarting the car will sometimes resolve the problem but 8 times out of 10 it will not.

It will display everything and toggle through tracks but the track will just sit at 0.00.
Radio stations can be selected but no sound.

I have my music files on a USB stick connected in the glove compartment via a MMC cable.

Also, and I am not sure if it is related, the Bluetooth connection with my phone and the car speech help unit are very inconsistent. So when I am on a call via Bluetooth and the phone, the sound keeps dropping.

Anyone know what the issue might be?

Could be firmware, could be failing component on the MOST ring. When its in the "no sound" state, does the radio show stations ?
